dispari&dispari | Berlin, is pleased to announce the opening of its new venue for contemporary art exhibitions and events in the city of Berlin. The exhibition season starts on Saturday 29 September 2018 with ‘Beigin Sassy’, a solo exhibition by London-based duo Cullinan Richards. The exhibition, conceived as an event in three acts, will present a series of works, installations and situations in constant rotation. Through ‘Being Sassy’ Cullinan Richards intend to reflect on the transient nature of their work.
The first version of the project, entitled Saucy Merx, is a reflection on the intrinsic value of the products we use daily and the value we attribute to a piece of art. In this scenario, it is the consumer products that are the protagonists of the installation. Stacks of paintings lie on the floor covered with transparent plastic sheets. You can vaguely guess their shape and colour. A temporary installation with jars of paint, chips, sauces, bottles of beer, and chandeliers coming down from the ceiling. It seems that all the works have arrived at the gallery, but the installation process has never started. Everything is amalgamated.

Die Ausstellungssaison beginnt am Samstag, den 29. September 2018, mit ‘Beigin Sassy’, einer Einzelausstellung des in London ansässigen Duos Cullinan Richards. Die Ausstellung, die als ein Ereignis in drei Akten konzipiert ist, wird eine Reihe von Werken, Installationen und Situationen in ständiger Rotation präsentieren. Mit ‘Being Sassy’ will Cullinan Richards über den vergänglichen Charakter ihrer Arbeit nachdenken.
Die erste Version des ‘Beigin Sassy’-Projekts trägt den Titel ‘Saucy Merx’ und ist eine Reflexion über den Eigenwert der Produkte, die wir täglich verwenden, und den Wert, den wir einem Kunstwerk beimessen. In diesem Szenario sind es die Konsumprodukte, die die Protagonisten der Installation sind. Auf dem Boden liegen Stapel von Gemälden, die mit transparenten Plastikfolien bedeckt sind. Man kann ihre Form und Farbe vage erahnen. Eine temporäre Installation mit Farbgläsern, Pommes Frites, Soßen, Bierflaschen und Kronleuchtern, die von der Decke herunterkommen. Es scheint, dass alle Werke in der Galerie angekommen sind, aber der Installationsprozess hat noch nicht begonnen. Alles ist miteinander verschmolzen.

La stagione espositiva inizia sabato 29 settembre 2018, con ‘Beigin Sassy’, mostra personale del duo londinese Cullinan Richards. La mostra, concepita come un evento in tre atti, presenterà una serie di opere, installazioni e situazioni in costante rotazione. Con ‘Being Sassy’ Cullinan Richards riflette sul carattere transitorio del proprio lavoro.
La prima versione del progetto ‘Beigin Sassy’ si intitola Saucy Merx ed è una riflessione sul valore intrinseco dei prodotti che usiamo ogni giorno e sul valore che attribuiamo ad un’opera d’arte. In questo scenario sono i prodotti di consumo i protagonisti dell’installazione. Pile di dipinti giacciono sul pavimento ricoperti da fogli di plastica trasparente. Si può vagamente intravedere la loro forma e il loro colore. Un set temporaneo con barattoli di vernice, patatine, salse, bottiglie di birra e lampadari che scendono dal soffitto. Sembra che tutte le opere siano arrivate in galleria, ma il processo di installazione non è mai iniziato. Tutto è amalgamato
